TERMS OF SERVICE

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading or using the RequestATask app or website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our platform. These Terms are a legally binding agreement between you and RequestATask Limited (RC: 9671094), incorporated in Nigeria under the Companies and Allied Matters Act 2020.

2. About RequestATask

RequestATask connects people who need tasks done (Requesters) with skilled workers who complete them (Takers). We are a marketplace platform only — we are not a party to any agreement between Requesters and Takers, and we do not employ Takers.

3. Eligibility

To use RequestATask you must be at least 18 years old, be based in Nigeria, provide accurate information during registration, and not have been previously suspended from the platform.

4. User Accounts

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for all activity on your account. Contact us immediately at info@requestatask.co if you suspect unauthorised access.

5. Requesters

You may post tasks on the platform. All tasks must be lawful, accurately described, and located within our service areas. You are solely responsible for selecting a Taker. Payment is held in escrow and released only when you confirm the task is complete.

6. Takers

You must complete your profile accurately with a clear photo and valid ID for verification. By applying to a task you confirm you have the skills and legal authorisation to complete it. 7. Payments

All payments are processed in Nigerian Naira (₦). A service fee applies to each completed transaction and will be shown before payment. We do not store your card details.

8. Cancellations and Refunds

Tasks cancelled before a Taker is accepted incur no penalty. If a Taker fails to show up, a full refund is issued. Disputes are reviewed and resolved by RequestATask support at our discretion.

9. Prohibited Conduct

You may not use the platform for illegal tasks, to harass other users, to provide false information, to transact outside the app, or to create multiple accounts. Violations may result in account suspension.

10. Intellectual Property

All platform content — logo, design, software, and features — belongs to RequestATask Limited. You may not reproduce or distribute any content without our written consent.

11. Limitation of Liability

RequestATask does not guarantee the quality or safety of any task or user. We are not liable for any damages arising from use of the platform, to the extent permitted by Nigerian law.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

PRIVACY POLICY

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide — name, phone number, email, profile photo, location, and government ID (Takers only). We also automatically collect device type, IP address, usage data, and transaction history.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to create and manage your account, verify your identity, connect Requesters with Takers, process payments, send OTP codes, provide support, and improve the platform.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your data. Your profile is visible to other users for task matching purposes. We share data with our service providers bound by strict data agreements. We may also share data where required by Nigerian law.

4. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data including encryption and access controls. No system is completely secure and you use the platform at your own risk.

5. Location Data

We use your location only to match you with nearby users. Only your general neighbourhood is shown on your profile — not your precise location.

6. Your Rights

Under the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR) you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. Contact us at info@requestatask.co and we will respond within 30 days. You may also lodge a complaint with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission at ndpc.gov.ng.
